How to Kirkify a Photo for Free in Your Browser
To kirkify a photo is to swap Charlie Kirk’s face onto it: a reaction meme, a celebrity shot, a famous painting, a friend’s selfie. The edits spread quickly across X, TikTok and Reddit in late 2025, and a whole crop of “Kirkify AI” sites now exists to do nothing else.
You don’t need one of them. Any good face swap tool can kirkify a picture, as long as you give it two photos: the picture you want to change, and a clear photo of the face you want to put in. This guide uses the AI Swap Face online face swap, which runs in the browser on phones and computers. It covers what the meme is, how to make one step by step, how to get a result that doesn’t look pasted on, and where the lines are before you post one.
One thing up front: AI Swap Face has no Kirkify button and no preloaded face. You upload both photos yourself.

Open the face swapper →What Does “Kirkify” Mean?
“Kirkify” means putting Charlie Kirk’s face onto another image or video. You’ll also see “Kirkified” for a finished edit and “Kirkification” for the trend as a whole. Kirk was a conservative activist who co-founded Turning Point USA. He was shot and killed on September 10, 2025, at an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
The meme took off on September 23, 2025, when a post on X put his face on a reaction GIF of the streamer IShowSpeed trying not to laugh, and it drew millions of views. Similar edits of other reaction clips followed within days. By October they had spread into TikTok comment sections, where the word “Kirkification” was coined. Google searches for “kirkify” peaked in mid-November 2025, faded through 2026, and briefly rose again around the first anniversary of his death in September 2026.
Kirk’s face is always the one that goes in. What it goes onto can be almost anything:
- reaction GIFs and meme templates
- celebrities, athletes, superheroes, and cartoon or film characters
- famous artworks, such as the Mona Lisa
- ordinary selfies and group photos — to “kirkify someone” is to replace that person’s face with his
Most edits aim for absurdity, not realism: the joke depends on the result looking obviously fake. Know Your Meme files it as a “Photoshop and AI edit trend.”
It is also a divisive meme. It took off less than two weeks after he was killed, and many people see the edits as mocking his death. Keep that in mind before you post one; the section on kirkifying responsibly below covers where the lines are.
What You Need Before You Start
A face swap takes two inputs, and the quality of both decides how good the result looks.
The picture you want to change. This is the meme template, reaction image, celebrity photo, painting or group shot that gets the new face. The face in it should be clearly visible: not tiny, not hidden behind a hand or sunglasses, and not turned fully sideways.
The face you want to put in. For a Kirkify edit, that’s a photo of Charlie Kirk’s face. Choose a sharp, well-lit, front-facing shot where the face fills a good part of the frame. A close headshot works far better than a wide crowd photo.
A still image. Many Kirkify edits online are GIFs or video clips, but the AI Swap Face browser tool works on still photos only, not animated GIFs or video. To use a GIF template, screenshot the frame you want and upload that.
How to Kirkify a Photo, Step by Step
Here is how to kirkify a picture with the AI Swap Face browser tool. It works the same on an iPhone, an Android phone, a Windows PC or a Mac.
Step 1 — Open the face swapper
Go to dash.aiswapface.app in any modern browser. There is nothing to download or install.
Step 2 — Start with or without an account
Tap Get Started to begin without an account: no email, no password, and your first swap is free. Signing in with Google (the Continue with Google button) adds 3 more free swaps. After that, swaps come from one-time credit packs starting at $1.99. There is no subscription.
Step 3 — Upload the picture you want to change
Under Use your own photo, tap Upload photo and choose the meme, celebrity shot or artwork you want to kirkify. You can skip the ready-made templates at the top of the page; for a Kirkify edit, you bring your own picture.
Step 4 — Add the face
Under Your face, tap Upload photo and add the face photo. Despite the label, it doesn’t have to be your own face: it is simply the face that goes into the picture. It stays selected after the swap, so you can reuse it on your next picture without uploading it again.
Step 5 — Run the swap
Tap Swap — 1 credit. The swap runs on cloud GPUs, so both photos are uploaded to our servers, and the result usually appears under Recent swaps within seconds. The picture slot clears straight away, so you can line up the next one while this swap finishes. Your uploads and results are kept as your swap history. You can delete any swap from it, and you can ask us to delete your whole account.
Step 6 — Download the result
Tap the finished swap to open it, then tap Download. The file is HD with no watermark, on the free swap and paid ones alike. Each swap uses one credit, so if the first result looks off, fix the photos using the tips below before you swap again.
Tips for a Kirkify Edit That Doesn’t Look Pasted On
The model does the blending, but it can only work with what you give it. Most bad results trace back to the input photos.
- Match the angle. A front-facing face swaps best onto a front-facing target. If the person in your picture is looking to one side, a face photo turned the same way will blend far better than a straight-on headshot.
- Match the light. A face lit warm and from the left looks pasted onto a scene lit cold and from the right. Pick a face photo whose lighting roughly matches the picture.
- Go big and sharp. The swap can’t invent detail the face photo doesn’t have. Skip screenshots of screenshots and faces cropped out of crowd shots.
- Clear the face in both photos. Sunglasses, hands, low hat brims and hair across the eyes all get in the model’s way.
- Crop group photos. If the picture shows several people, crop it to the one face you want to change, so you know which face gets swapped.
- Expect cartoons to be hit and miss. The model has to find a human face before it can swap one. Realistic paintings and live-action stills work best; flat cartoon faces may not be detected at all.
For the longer version of why these matter, how AI face swap works walks through detection, landmark mapping and blending.
Kirkify AI Sites vs. a Regular Face Swap Tool
Search for “kirkify AI” and you’ll find a crop of single-purpose kirkifier sites, kirkify.io and kirkify.net among them. They work the same way: one Kirk reference photo is built in, and the site swaps it onto the faces in whatever you upload. That makes them one-tap, and some handle GIFs and video. Before you hand one your photos, compare the details:
| kirkify.io | kirkify.net | AI Swap Face | |
|---|---|---|---|
| The face | Built-in Kirk face | Built-in Kirk face | Any face photo you upload |
| Free to start | 10 credits with Google sign-in | 1 SD credit after sign-in | 1 swap with no account, 3 more with Google sign-in |
| Free results | Listed “With watermark” in its pricing table | Watermarked | HD, no watermark |
| Paid | $9.99–$39.99 a month, or one-time packs from $7.99 | $7.99 for 15 credits, or $14.99–$39.99 a month | One-time packs, $1.99–$14.99 |
| GIF and video | Paid plans only | GIF and video on its top plan | Still photos only |
Checked against each site’s public pages on October 2, 2026. Prices and free allowances change often, so check the live page before paying.
Three things the table doesn’t show:
- There is no official Kirkify app. A meme has no owner, whatever a site calls itself. kirkify.io describes itself as “an independent parody and meme creation tool” that is not affiliated with Charlie Kirk or Turning Point USA.
- Your results may be public. kirkify.io shows recent creations in a public Community Gallery, and its pricing lists “not shown in gallery” only on its top-tier options. Read a site’s privacy page before you upload a friend’s photo.
- The fine print can contradict itself. kirkify.io’s pricing table lists its free tier “With watermark,” while elsewhere the same page says free results have none.
A regular face swap tool trades the one-tap preset for control. You choose the face photo, so you can pick a sharper shot, or one whose angle matches your picture, and the same credits work for any other swap afterward. The cost is one extra upload and, in AI Swap Face’s case, still photos only.
How to Kirkify Responsibly
Kirkify edits use the face of a real man who was killed in 2025, and often another real person’s photo as well. A few lines keep the joke from turning into something worse:
- Keep it an obvious parody. The meme works because it is absurd. Don’t make realistic fakes meant to fool people, such as a fake news photo or a fake endorsement. Our terms rule out content meant to deceive or mislead.
- Don’t impersonate anyone. No fake accounts, and no fake quotes or posts presented as something Kirk, or anyone else, really said or did.
- Leave his death out of it. Don’t reference the shooting or make light of his killing. It is hurtful, and it is the kind of content platforms remove: TikTok’s Community Guidelines, for example, ban AI likenesses made to bully or harass, and content that degrades people who have experienced a tragedy.
- Ask before you kirkify someone. Swapping a friend’s face out still uses their photo, so get their OK first. TikTok, for one, bans AI content that uses a private person’s likeness without consent. Never use a stranger’s photo, and never use photos of children.
- Nothing sexual. Our terms prohibit non-consensual sexual content, the major platforms ban it, and in the US publishing non-consensual intimate deepfakes is a crime under the TAKE IT DOWN Act.
- Label it when you post. Our terms ask you to label AI-generated content when you share it publicly. TikTok requires a label on realistic AI edits and names a face replaced with someone else’s as one example, and YouTube and Instagram have disclosure rules of their own.
- Keep it out of ads and merchandise. Many US states, California among them, protect a person’s likeness after death. Those laws usually make room for parody, but commercial use is exactly what they cover.

What does kirkify mean?
To kirkify an image is to swap Charlie Kirk’s face onto it, usually a meme template, reaction GIF, celebrity photo or artwork. The meme took off in September 2025, less than two weeks after Kirk, a co-founder of Turning Point USA, was shot and killed, and “Kirkification” became the name for the trend. Most edits are meant to look absurd and obviously fake.
How do you kirkify an image?
You need a face swap tool and two photos: the image you want to change and a clear, front-facing photo of Charlie Kirk’s face. In AI Swap Face, open dash.aiswapface.app in your browser, upload the image under Use your own photo, upload the face under Your face, and tap Swap. The result appears under Recent swaps, ready to download.
Can I kirkify a photo for free with no sign-up?
Yes, once. Your first swap on AI Swap Face is free with no account: tap Get Started and go. Sign in with Google for 3 more free swaps; after that, one-time credit packs start at $1.99, with no subscription. Free results are HD with no watermark.
Is there an official Kirkify AI app or website?
No. Sites such as kirkify.io and kirkify.net are independent face swap tools with a Kirk photo built in, and kirkify.io describes itself as an independent parody tool not affiliated with Kirk or Turning Point USA. Any face swap tool can do the same job if you upload the face yourself, which is how AI Swap Face works: it has no Kirkify preset.
How can I kirkify someone?
You can kirkify anyone whose face is clearly visible in a photo. Upload their photo as the picture to change, add a clear photo of Kirk’s face as the face to put in, and run the swap. If the photo shows several people, crop it to the one you want to change first. Ask the person first, and never use a child’s photo or a stranger’s.
Can I kirkify a GIF or a video?
Not with the AI Swap Face browser tool, which works on still photos only. To use a GIF template, screenshot the frame you want and kirkify that still. Some dedicated kirkify sites have GIF and video modes, usually on paid plans only.
Will my kirkified photo have a watermark?
Not with AI Swap Face. Downloads are HD with no watermark, logo or badge, on the free swap and paid ones alike. Some dedicated kirkify sites watermark their free results, so check before you upload.
Can I post a kirkified photo on social media?
Generally yes, within each platform’s rules. TikTok requires a label on realistic AI edits, including a face swapped for someone else’s, and bans AI likenesses made to bully or harass; YouTube and Instagram have their own disclosure rules. Keep it an obvious parody, keep it non-commercial, and ask first if the photo you changed shows someone else.
